Melanie McDuff is a culinary artist and our youth mentor for youthLEADarts Nova Scotia.
Earlier this month, in both Lismore and Little Harbour, she shared her creative process and skills with youth, guiding them as they designed their own, themed charcuterie plates. She also shared some piping techniques with icing and led a cupcake decorating workshop. Who says art can’t be edible?
A fun time was had by all, and our youth were inspired to be the best and most original that they can be. After the Fun with Food session, youth were able ‘to get more of their creative on’ at a creative crafts table and during our team Jenga session.
One of our participants said, “It’s fun when we work together, we get a lot more done!” It has been a great month of collaborative leadership in ACTION!!
