In April, youthLEADarts Lismore got together and explored leadership through cooking with Community Chef Lesley McDuff and youthLEADarts program mentor Melanie McDuff. Everyone had a role in baking cookies and making goulash. We had to listen to Chef Lesley, support others at they tried new activities and learned their way around the tools of a kitchen, complete the task (because we were all hungry) and include everyone in a meal made by many hands.
It was a great session filled with laughter, learning and togetherness.
Our next session in May is all about community as these incredible LEADers come together to take ACTION and clean up our outdoor space!
