youthLEADarts Nova Scotia Wraps up 2022 With Spirit!

Service to others, giving back, volunteering, going where they are needed, inspiring others…youth in Lismore Nova Scotia are continually creating opportunities to demonstrate their leadership skills by giving the gift of kindness to others.

Recently they served Christmas dinner to 69 seniors at the local community centre. Dressed to the nines they honoured their elders with a holiday meal that had all the trimmings; bringing laughter, music and a sense of connection to a special intergenerational setting. Under the mentorship of Shelley MacDonald (Regional Manager and youthLEADarts Vice President) and Melanie McDuff (volunteer LEADer extraordinaire), these youth were pure love and leadership in action. The pictures say it all, they are an inspiration to youth all across Canada!

To kick off 2023 youthLEADarts hosted a holiday lounge and photo scavenger hunt for youth, nurturing community spirit and creating space for friendships to thrive! We are so proud of the difference these youth are making, how they are listening to what their community needs and how they are dreaming up and driving forward programs that bring joy and comfort, light and inspiration all year long!
